CURONIAN SPIT NATIONAL PARK

The Curonian Spit is known as the pearl of the Baltic Sea. It is a long strip of wind-blown sand dunes surrounded from both sides by the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. The Grey Dunes are one of the most impressive landscape elements of the Curonian Spit and the whole of Lithuania which does not leave anybody indifferent. These are the longest dunes in Lithuania with spectacular hollows and washouts. The territory of the Curonian Spit National Park is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
