Nasdaq, the world-leading exchange operator and provider of capital markets technology, has established a new Technology and Business Competence Centre in Vilnius.
Today the Nasdaq technology powers more than 70 securities exchanges, clearinghouses, central depositories, and market monitoring institutions in 50 countries, which use the Nasdaq trading, transactions, monitoring, and risk management technology solutions.
The Nasdaq portfolio covers 26 securities exchanges, 5 central securities depositories, and a clearinghouse, which operate in the US and Europe, including the Baltic market, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. INET and Genium INET, the most advanced securities trading platforms, have been introduced in the Baltic market.
Given the significant economic growth potential and advanced infrastructure of the Baltic States, as well as the globally renowned highly developed skills of the Lithuanian professionals, the Nasdaq Group has decided to establish a global Technology and Business Competence Centre in Vilnius. Similar centres are already in operation in Stockholm, Sydney, Bangalore, Philadelphia, and Manila.
