Festival “Kleboniškės Ethnographic Colours”
On July 14th, 2018 “Kleboniškės Ethnographic Colours” festival will take place in Daugyvenė cultural history museum-reserve, Kleboniškės rural household division. The festival dedicated to celebrate the Centennial of the restored Lithuania will welcome visitors to the museum to admire folk arts, to learn about traditional crafts, to taste culinary heritage food and to listen to folk ensembles and folk music.
The participants of the festival will be able to take part in educational activities – not only to watch them, but also try processing flax, making clay pots, plaiting Straw Gardens like in the olden days, and to get acquainted with crafts of blacksmith, weaver, wicker plaiter, knitter, cross sticher, sash weaver, carpenter, as well as to bake some bread over a bonfire.
In order to highlight the beauty of folk art, three exhibitions from the museum funds will be prepared in village houses and granaries: “Easter eggs patterns”, textile exhibition “Aukštaitija region textile patterns” as well as an exhibition “Household ironing devices at the end of the XIX century – the first half of the XX century”.
