Find A Shangri-La In The Curonian Spit
The Curonian Spit is unique by its exceptional landscape and distinctive flora and fauna. The spit, the way it is, was created by the Nature and people.
The Curonian Spit National Park is the most frequently visited protected territory in Lithuania. It was included into the UNESCO world heritage list in 2000 and the European network of protected areas Natura 2000. The park seeks to protect original and rare species of flora and fauna that are significant to the biological diversity of Europe.
Please visit the great sand-dune of the Curonian Spit, the old parabolic dunes near Juodkrantė, grey dunes between Juodkrantė and Pervalka, as well as Parmidžio and Sklandytojų Dunes blown by the wind. Enjoy the sandy beaches, clean sea water, sunny pinewoods, and a bicycle ride.
