Back to your Arms is to represent Lithuania in Palm Springs festival

The Lithuanian film will be presented to the Palm Springs International Film Festival by film director Kristijonas Vildžiūnas and the main actress Elžbieta Latėnaitė.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) is one of the largest film festivals in North America, welcoming 130,000 attendees each year for its lineup of new and celebrated international features and documentaries.  The Festival is also known for its annual Black Tie Awards Gala, honouring the best achievements of the filmic year by a celebrated list of talents who, in recent years, have included Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Bridges, Danny Boyle, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Colin Firth, Ron Howard, Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Kate Winslet.

This year's Palm Springs Festival Competition programme Awards Buzz selected from the list of films nominated for the Oscar in the foreign film category, includes The Flowers of War directed by Zhang Yimou (China), Le Havre directed by Aki Kaurismäki(Finland, France, Germany), Pina by Wim Wenders (Germany), In Darkness by Agnieszka Holland (Poland, Canada, Germany), Abu, son of Adam, and others directed by Salim Ahamed from India. The International Film Critics Jury will award the FIPRESCI prize for the best foreign film, actress and actor of the year.
 
The Lithuanian film Back to Your Arms is distributed in America and worldwide by the New York film distribution company, The Film Sales Company. The films distributed by the company include the winner of Palme d'Or of the Cannes Film Festival: Fahrenheit 9 / 11, and the Oscar winner for best documentary: Born Into Brothel, etc.
 
The film takes us to the post-war Berlin, telling the story of the father and the daughter separated by the Second World War and trying to reunite in the city.
