Evelina Anusauskaitė snatches laurels at the international competition in New York
Wednesday night (New York time), at the awards ceremony Global Voices for Change, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield, and other celebrities announced the name of the winner of the musical talent contest Avon Voices from the ten finalists, including Evelina Anusauskaitė.

The Lithuanian singer came out as a winner having earned public and jury’s admiration, and having left behind the other nine finalists. Anusauskaitė was lauded by many world celebrities. According to her mother Jurga Anusauskienė, Evelina could barely hold back her tears upon the announcement of the results.
The other contestants were from Canada, Brazil, Russia, Thailand, Venezuela, Britain, the Philippines and the US. The main prize is a possibility to record the album with one of the best-known recording companies.
The search for musical talents began December 20, 2010, and attracted participants from 60 countries, who competed for winner’s title. Having passed three rounds of on-line voting with 2.5 million votes from around the world, 10 finalists were brought together for a final competition in New York Hard Rock Café.
