Emerald Christmas-tree of Kaunas may be included into the Guinness World Records
Kaunas Christmas-tree, designed by making use of plastic bottles, may be included into the Guinness World Records, Kaunas City Municipality announced.
According to Kaunas administration, it was editors of the book of records themselves who got interested in the emerald decoration of the Rotušės (City Hall) Square.
Jolanta Šmidtienė, who had created the Christmas-tree by making use of almost 50,000 plastic bottles, has received an offer to register it in the Guinness World Records.
The artist has filled in an application and has sent it along with all the required documents, photos and a video recording of the Christmas-tree, to the publishers of the Guinness World Records.
The emerald Christmas-tree of Kaunas was lit three weeks ago.
Since then, according to Kaunas City Municipality, both the Christmas-tree and its author have received great attention from the foreign media.
