"Injection" was launched back in 2008.  Its winners get a chance to publicly show their collection on the podium of the “Fashion Infection”, alongside with the established foreign and Lithuanian fashion names. Their debut costs are assumed by the organisers.

Applicants are expected to submit their collection ideas and sketches by October 21. Their proposals will be evaluated by a committee of professionals, which will subsequently announce the finalists, who will have to show five collections at the finals of the “Injection” on December 12, leading its winners to the  2012 Spring Fashion Infection.

"This year, like last year, " Injection " is open to all Lithuanian and foreign designers. Last year, half of the finalists were from abroad, including the two winners – Astrid Grosser and Gerti Heinrich, Germany, and Kristel Kuslapuu, Estonia,¬– said "Fashion Infection" creative director Sandra Straukaitė.

During the four years, the competition received more than 120 applications from young designers, it had 40 finalists, and made such discoveries as Diana Paukštytė, Olga Prytkova and Ina Polotniak, Jurga Sutkutė, Eglė Žiemytė, Dainius Bendikas and Benas Stakauskas, Dovilė Kaušakytė and Eglė Mazecaitė, Diana Kuzmickaitė and Aušra Urbanavičiūtė, Vidmina Stasiulytė, Milda Čergelytė, Marija Popadničenko.
