Concerts will go on into the weekend. A Nujazz project from Germany Club des Belugas and the Lithuanian band BrassBastardz will play at the Cathedral Square.

On Sunday the Cathedral Square will stage a classical music concert “Bohemiečių svajonės” (Bohemian Dreams).
A large screen at the City Hall Square will offer the Eurobasket 2011 matches featuring the Lithuanian team, as well as films presented by the international film festivals “Kino pavasaris” and “Tinklai”.

Films and commercial clips made by the young Lithuanian film directors represented at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, as well as short films on family and sports will also be screened at the City Hall Square.

Gedimino Avenue will be divided into four areas during the Festival, which is organized for the 17th time. The Lukiškių Square will be devoted to Šilutė, this year’s Lithuanian Capital of Culture.

According to the organisers, the other three areas will be allocated to artists, dainty sellers, and publishing houses.

“Dainuojantis, šokantis, piešiantis Vilnius” (The Singing, Dancing, and Drawing Vilnius) will be settled in the area extending from the Cathedral Square to Vilniaus street. The area will host artists and art gallery exhibitions, singer-songwriters and actors will perform near the National Drama Theatre, and music bands will play in the V. Kudirkos Square.

“Gardusis Vilnius – lauktuvių zona” (The Tasty Vilnius – Fairing Area) will be established in the area extending from Jogailos street to A. Jakšto street and will sell various goodies and dainties.

“Skaitantis Vilnius – knygų alėja” (The Reading Vilnius – Books Avenue) will be housed in the area extending from A. Jakšto street to Vasario 16-osios street. Here, 17 publishing houses will present books.

All Vilnius City Day events will be free.
