
Lithuanians get gold in European Rowing Championship
Saulius Ritteris and Rolandas Maščinskas have succeeded in winning gold medals in men’s double sculls at the European Rowing Championship in Bulgaria.

The Lithuanian contender nominated to Oscar award in the category of foreign film category is Back to your Arms by Kristijonas Vildžiūnas.
The decision was taken by special commission’s secret ballot. Three films participated in the selection.

Dalin town in Chiayi county had the youngest foreign mayor in Taiwan, 23 year old Lithuanian student Vaiva Zvirblyte. She came to Taiwan to participate in 100th anniversary event for foreign youth. As a mayor for one day, she not only signed the documents, but also met with the leader of Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party Tsai Ing-wen.
