Lithuanian athlete breaks Powerlifting world record
32nd Women´s and 41st Men´s World Powerlifting Championships took place in Pilsen (Czech Republic). The Lithuanian team have been particularly successful. In the category 120 kg, Amandas Paulauskas (coach Raimundas Linkauskas) lifted 410 kg in squat, bench-pressed 317.5 kg, and broke a new world record.

A. Paulauskas lifted the dead weight of 327.5 kg and having in total collected 1055 kg, won a bronze medal.
A. Paulauskas has become world record breaker for the first time in Lithuania’s powerlifting history.
