Lithuanian girls: the best volleyball players in Europe!
At the final match of the CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship in Vilnius, the Lithuanian volleyball players Ieva Dumbauskaitė and Monika Povilaitytė defeated their Swiss counterparts N. Betschart and N. Eiholzer, and became the European champions.

The duel ended in 2:1 (21:18; 20:22; 15:13).
The Lithuanian girls succeeded to gain gold despite the ankle injury suffered by Dumbauskaitė at semi-finals.
The Polish duo K.Kociolek ir K.Baran settled for bronze.
In the boys‘ competition, the gold was snatched by the Polish duo Lukasz Kaczmarek and Sebastian Kaczmarek.
